Most attacks start with one click.

Learn the red flags once and you’ll spot them for the rest of your career.

The 5 biggest red flags.

Before you click anything in an email, run down this list.

  1. Urgency and threats“Act now or your account will be closed.” Pressure is meant to stop you thinking.
  2. A sender that’s not quite rightHover over the name. Does it really end in @ypic.com? Watch for ypic-com.net or ypic.co.
  3. Generic greeting“Dear Employee” instead of your name often means a mass blast.
  4. Links that don’t matchHover (don’t click) and read the real address. Text and link disagree? Stop.
  5. Unexpected requestsA password, a gift card, your direct deposit, a surprise attachment. If it feels off, it is.
When an email looks suspicious Don’t click links or open attachments. Don’t reply. Report it to IT at support.ypic.com, then delete it. We’d always rather check a safe email than clean up after a real one.

A friendly heads-up.

From time to time YPIC IT sends practice phishing emails to help everyone stay sharp. Click one and you’ll land on a page that shows what to watch for next time — no judgement, just practice.
